In order to aid in the recovery from my recent illness, I went ahead and booked my next trip back to my favorite island. :) It was always my plan to go back to Anguilla sometime this winter and since I was feeling a little bummed about having to cancel my St. Croix trip, it seemed like as good a time as any to plan my next journey and give my spirits a bit of a lift.
So I will be heading back to AXA in early December! I know, I know… it should be illegal to get to go to paradise three times in a single year, but since I have the time and means to do it now, I’m going to go ahead and take advantage of my situation. The pull to go back there is just too strong for me and I can’t resist going back any chance I have. I am fully aware of how lucky I am to be able to do it, and I am very thankful.
My flight and hotel are booked and, really, the only thing I have left to do is rent a car for the duration of my stay and I’ll be pretty much set. There is at least one new restaurant that I want to try and a few new beaches that I want to visit, but for the most part, I’m happy to just relax and play things by ear.
This week, I was stopped at a traffic light and within about a nanosecond of the light turning green, some impatient soul was laying on his/her horn because, apparently, the mass of cars wasn’t moving fast enough. I thought to myself, “This doesn’t happen in Anguilla.” and I began counting the seconds until I return to a place where things are a bit more easygoing. I am SO ready.
