Hi Eliza,

Thanks so much for the compliments! I haven't spoken to anyone about anything formal but I'd definitely consider it. For the time being, I still feel like I have so much more to learn as even six trips to Anguilla is barely scratching the surface of learning about life there.

Thanks so much for continuing to read my posts! I'm always thrilled to connect with and hear from others who understand my attraction to island life, so please continue to let me know what you think!

Patty,

You express yourself very well. What a pleasure to read your postings! Thank you...Hopefully you meet a publisher for some advice on the possibility of somehow publishing this, if you haven't yet.

I sneak a peak in between busy spurts at work and it is something to look forward to since I am still on Aug 2009. The plan is to extend the 'pleasure' and hence I am taking it in in small doses (although I am finding it difficult not to 'devour' it all in one go).

Thank you for the reply Patty!

It means a lot.

I read through some of your material and you have provided some really useful information. I like the fact that a person can do the island on a budget in order to afford more frequent trips. Being there is a luxury in itself.

Looking forward to the new posts :)!

Hi Eliza,

It's always great to hear from other people who really get what I'm talking about when I say the things I mention above. Some people just don't understand, no matter how I try to explain it. We need to figure out how to get them down to the warm, friendly islands ASAP! :)

I'm so glad that you got a chance to stop by Anguilla on your trip and to experience the famous Elvis' Beach Bar. That vibe you felt there is present all over the island, so I hope you get a chance to come back for a longer stay. You sound like just the kind of person who'll love it!

Thanks so much for your well wishes and for letting me know that there are others of a similar mind out there. I find comfort in that, especially as I will be preparing to return to my regular life soon after yet another sweet, sweet island trip that I don't want to end...

New posts to come soon, so stay tuned! :)

Patty,

Reading this page resonates with me a lot.

Last week I came back to TO from a sailing trip in St Martin during which we visited Anguilla. I did not really get a chance to explore the island because we ended up anchoring in Road Bay (Sandy Ground) for the two nights we were there. Although it was a short stay, I left with great impressions and with hopes to find a chance to go back and get to know the place better. I really liked the atmosphere at the Elvis' Beach Bar where we went both nights. Brett and Elvis were awesome, everyone was in a great mood; dancing on the sand under the stars by the sea was priceless. I thought I was in heaven. Possibly the feeling was a combination of being naive about the place, being elated from being away from responsibilities and a busy life in Toronto, and being mesmerized by the surroundings. Either way, now I want to know more hence I was looking for blogs from fortunate people like you.

Walking around this past week, I looked at people's faces in the financial towers in downtown Toronto and most seem to be on the edge, burdened from whatever was happening during their day. That contrasted so much with what I still carry inside me. I want to keep that relaxed, accepting, and calm feeling with me for as long as I could. Inevitably, I would need another dose of paradise. Until then, I will keep reading your posts!

Let your steps towards your possible move be blessed every day.

After reading your post the wife and I booked a trip to Anguilla for 2/18! We were in St martin back in October and did not get a chance to get over there on that trip. We have been once and this is a perfect excuse to go back!

Thanx for the inspiration!

ps My brother and law and his wife just said they are coming too! Oh, it's party time!
